Having a Look at the Celebrated CEO Naveen Jain — Dedicated Altruism at Its Foremost

Posted by admin in Social Hub

In these times, intelligent charity work is inarguably even more important than ever before. You have in all probability come across Mr. Naveen Jain the co-founder and CEO of Intelius, Inc. a market leader in background checks, identity theft protection and public records services. Beyond making the Forbes 400 Richest in America list 2000, this prosperous entrepreneur has been honored with diverse prestigious awards, foremost the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, the WSA Industry Achievement Award, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Even so things categorically grow out from there. For Mr. Jain and his relations are equally as ardent about philanthropy and will try to assist people in need whenever the opportunity arises.

There’s no reasonable doubt about the fact that our children are indeed the world’s treasured resource and indeed its future. Naveen Jain also views young people as constituting the center of his endeavors, and he takes any occasion he sees to help them. This, of course, is the primary reason why he is always intensely exploiting every possibility available to him to lend a helping hand if practicable. So, Naveen Jain, his family and those at Intelius, Inc. have decided to actually follow up in earnest: they give their time to charities such as the Overlake Service League, the Rotary Club, and Hopelink. Obviously they will provide a great amount of monetary assistance but most importantly they dedicate plenty of time and care to the youth who require it the most. Moreover, he backs the Children’s Hospital endeavoring to improve children’s health. Because Naveen Jain is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI Jamshedpur, it comes as no surprise that professional training is a very important status in his benevolent activities. This also incorporates causes and voluntary organizations that can range from the local to the global. As a result Intelius and its co-founder are actively aiding deserving causes and establishments such as the Indian American Education Foundation, TreeHouse and the University of Washington. Feeding the world’s destitute is an equally significant challenge to Jain and his relatives and to him, it makes not one iota of difference. Although Naveen is conscious that the job of getting provisions for all the planet’s starving is an eminently herculean one, he also recognizes that the unattainable can really come to be realizable provided the whole world toils in concert. If this business leader gets his way, the final curtain will definitely come down on famine and destitution everywhere in the future. You may imagine that being the CEO of a highly thriving market leading enterprise as well as being a dedicated family man would leave him little spare time for charitable projects. All the same, Naveen Jain ensures that each and every one of his philanthropic projects is given all the help he can possibly marshal. Indeed, this indefatigably altruistic entrepreneur is undoubtedly more than merely some ordinary business maverick. He is a intensely humanitarian minded person and a genuine community advocate.

What People Must Know about the Entrepreneurial Vision of Naveen Jain - Skillful Philanthropy at Its Finest

Posted by admin in Social Hub

You are certain to have encountered Mr. Naveen Jain’s name in connection with him being the CEO as well as co-founder of Intelius, Inc. the market leader in background checks, identity theft protection and public records services. As well as having made the Forbes 400 Richest in America list 2000, this enterprising entrepreneur has received a variety of choice awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the WSA Industry Achievement Award, and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, to name only three. Nevertheless it positively does not finish here. That’s because Mr. Jain and his family are equally as enthusiastic about their beneficent endeavors and will try to assist others as frequently as they can. Children beyond doubt incorporate mankind’s most treasurable resource. Naveen Jain also regards them as the deserving focal point of his endeavors and he tries to take advantage of every chance available to support them. This is why he is always untiringly using every possibility he can to give assistance to young people who are needy, whenever feasible. Consequently, Naveen Jain, his relatives and those at Intelius have decided to actually follow up in earnest: they have pledged their time to philanthropical entities such as United Way, the Overlake Service League, and the University Preparatory Academy. Obviously, they offer ample financial assistance but most importantly they dedicate their time and attention to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children. Moreover, Naveen Jain gives aid to the Children’s Hospital, being intent on restoring children’s health, as well.

Because Jain is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI Jamshedpur, it is no surprise that formal training holds a tremendously significant precedence in his charitable operations. This incorporates movements and deserving causes local, state, and nationwide. Therefore, Intelius and its CEO are aiding support agencies and charitable entities like Hopelink, the Rotary Club and TreeHouse. Getting food to the starving of the planet is another great goal for Jain and those around him and it makes no difference in the least to him whether it is a child in Tehran or Somalia, or an elderly lady in Peru or Lebanon requiring help. Although he is cognizant that the mission of obtaining provisions for all the planet’s unnourished is a phenomenal one, he also knows that the unfeasible can actually become achievable if everyone toils together. If this CEO obtains his objectives, the final curtain will is bound to come down on starvation and poverty all over the world at some time. You would suppose that as the CEO of a spectacularly flourishing market leading enterprise on top of being a committed family man would leave practically no surplus time for volunteering and support. Yet Naveen ensures that each one of his humanitarian projects is given as much attention as he can possibly donate. To wrap it up, this enterprising man is decidedly more than a mere maverick of industry. He is, in fact, an outstanding individual and a genuine community hero.

Flowers and Chocolates for Your Mum this Mothers Day

Mothers day in the Uk is less than two week away, but what have you got planned for the woman who rbought you into the world?. Mums are commonly under appreciated, they work hard bringing us into the world and trying to teach us right from wrong. So it is only fair that there should be a whole day dedicated to them.

Mothers day is not just about gifts, it’s about spending time with your mum, sure a gift is always nice and it is a great way to thank her for her years of putting up with you (joke!). If you are totally stuck on what to do on mothers day this year then why not check out our mothers day ideas for great gift and activity ideas

- Flowers are one of the most popular gifts for mothers day, this is because they are inexpensive but beautiful and they will bring a smile to anyones face.

- Chocolates are probably just as popular as flowers, this is because they are loved by everyone. It doesnt matter even if your mu is having the most terrible mothers day she will smile the minute she sees a box of nice chocolates

- Of course you don;t have to be restricted to only flowers or chocolates for mothers day, you could get her something she wants or even something thoughtful like a day of pamper.

What ever you decide would be a good gift for mothers day, it doesnt matter. Your mu will appreciate the thought anyway, you don;t have to blow tons of money on it either, a nice box of chocolates under £10 will go down as well as a £100 pamper day

Are You A Day Late, Dollar Short?

Posted by admin in Social Hub

As you sit at your computer reading this somewhere in the
back of your mind may be the little words, “Back me up!”
floating around trying to alert you to something truly
important.

You swat the thought away like a pesky fly telling yourself,
“I will, I will..!” and ignore that silent, almost esp-like
intuition trying to help you and save you from computer
disaster.

For a fleeting moment you give in to the voice, saying to
yourself, “Boy I AM way behind on my backups.” But…

And then it happens… WHAM! And you’ve lost everything :(

After having suffered two crashes in the Fall of last year,
and a few problems in this new year, I can with all honesty
tell you that being prepared in the event of a computer
emergency is worth every second it takes along the way.

Sure it’s still gut wrenching to have it happen, but putting
it all back together takes less and less time the more and
more you are ready for it.

What Needs Safekeeping?

Your website should be one of the first things you
download on a consistent basis unless you know you have
the complete website files and databases already on your
own computer and you only make changes from your computer
and upload to your website.

If you’ve been in and out of your website via FTP making
a tweak here and a little, but important one there, and
haven’t downloaded those changes to your working folders,
yikes!

Relying on the hosting company to keep your site safe is
cool, but it is your site and overall your responsibility.

If you don’t change it often, then once every few weeks
would be fine. But, if you’re like me and in there every
day, more often is definitely called for… a lot more
often!

Then what?

Sure I have my files on the hard drive, but if I can’t
access them, what good are they?

I’ve got both a read/write CD-ROM and an external drive,
and my preference is the external drive. Call me stupid,
but it’s just like accessing an A disk only much bigger.
It’s just really easy to use, quick to install, and
inexpensive to purchase.

So back ‘em up!

Next, your email - every receipt for purchase, every
password and username, every download link and unlock
code, and… well you get the idea. Save them to disk!

If you just knew how many programs, products, and ebooks
I lost last year you wouldn’t even bother to finish this
article, you’d just high tail it to your inboxes and
start now.

Which, of course leads me to the ebooks, programs, etc.,
that you’ve purchased along the way. Are you 100% sure
that you can remember the urls to the websites where
they all came from…? Are you counting on your trusty
Favorites folder to help you out? Think again.

If catastrophe hits, bye bye Favorites. Back them up,
too.

Yes it’s time consuming now - to some extent - and we
all believe there’s “always tomorrow.”

But should tomorrow ever come… don’t be caught short!

Planting the Seeds of Greatness - Make it Great Newsletter #7

Posted by admin in Social Hub

Thought of the Week

This week, I’d like to challenge you to try something: Give something to someone that you know can never repay the favor. This could be something simple like opening the door for someone with their hands full, or buying lunch for a complete stranger at your local bistro.

When you’re done, think about how it makes you feel inside. Doesn’t it feel GREAT to help people? I think it does, and if you take this challenge and make it a weekly thing, I promise you’ll start feeling better about the life you’re living if you take the time to notice how you feel after you do this little thing.

Last week, I mentioned the power of networking. What better way to network with someone than by helping them. Remember that networking is not all about you and is really all about others. How better to show this than by helping them with something unexpected. When you help others, they’re much more apt to listen to what you have to say, and you never know when the person you’ve helped might mention your kindness to someone else who can return the favor. Unexpected results, to be sure!

Now something else really cool might happen to you: Someone else might do a favor for you, and you may never be able to repay her/his kindness. Don’t feel badly that you can’t return the favor, just help someone else. If you dig your well before you’re thirsty, then you won’t feel badly about others helping you, and you’ll be encouraged to help others.

Quotes of the week

“Plant a kernel of wheat and you reap a pint; plant a pint, and you reap a bushel. Always the law works to give you back more than you give.” — Anthony Norvell, author

“If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want.” - Zig Ziglar, author and speaker

—————————————————————-

Book of the Week

Dig Your Well Before You’re Thirsty - Harvey Mackay (http://www.mackay.com)

The sub-title of this book says it all: “The Only Networking Book You’ll Ever Need.” Harvey displays in great depth how helping others is the best way to help yourself. He talks about the 10 biggest mistakes you can do when networking, what you can expect when you network, and so much more. While I don’t think this is the only networking book you’ll ever need, I do agree that this is a great read and encourage you to pick it up today!
—————————————————————-

Action Items for Your Week

1) Introduce yourself to 2-3 new people.

2) Do a favor for one of these 2-3 people, and know that they may never be able to repay your kindness.

3) Write your results in your attitude journal or send me an e-mail and let me know how this made you feel.

4) Repeat as often as you can!

Business Cards - What to Do With Them?

Posted by admin in Social Hub

Get Rid of Business Cards You Don’t Need

Everyone collects lots of business cards, and nobody really knows what to do with them. We’re afraid to throw them out. But there’s little benefit in saving them in a jumble in your drawer. There are a variety of containers available, from plastic to electronic. But to think first about storage misses the point. Before you think about “What’s the best place to put them?” ask “Would I really need this again, and if so, why — and when?” Be firm; get rid of cards from people you are not likely to contact in the future. If you have a great many business cards, it can actually backfire - the more cards you have, the harder it is to find a specific one when you need it. Less is more– It’s easy to keep them in order, and easier to find when you need them. And remember, the point isn’t to collect the cards, but to keep them in a way that makes it easy to use them.

Add Useful Details

Once you’ve decided which cards are keepers, jot a note on back of each card stating where you met the person and what you might contact them about. This should be done as soon as possible, especially if you return from a networking event with a pocketful of cards–otherwise when you come across the cards later, you’ll have no clue as to who these people are.

Different Ways to Store Your Cards

Now that you’ve culled your cards and made notes on them, you’re ready to think about where to put them. Don’t use plastic business card books with a dozen or so slots per page — it’s impossible to keep cards alphabetized. If you insist on staying low-tech, use a Rolodex with alphabetical tab dividers.

The alphabet’s easy for people whose names you’ll recall later, but what about service providers who are recommended to you that you’re merely keeping in case you need them later on? Let’s say your friend Jane Smith recommends a great cyberlaw attorney named Joe Moon. If you file it under Moon you won’t remember the name. File it instead by category –under Lawyer, under L in your Rolodex. Do the same for plumbers and accountants and anyone else you might do business with.

The Power of Software

But the old fashioned Rolodex is limited. It’s much more effective to use contact-management software (Outlook, Act and Goldmine are some popular brands). This gives you the best of both worlds — if you tag Joe Moon’s record with the word “lawyer,” you can locate him by looking up “Moon” or “lawyer” and find him either way. If you also note that Jane Smith recommended him, you can look it up this way too.

Such software does more than automatically alphabetize your entries by contact name, company name, and type of business. It also provides almost unlimited room to type notes on each contact. You can record when you last talked to them and about what. It can also save a record of e-mails you sent to or received from them. Used fully, contact management software keeps a record of all your dealings with each person. This does more than supplement a faulty memory. It permits you to slice and dice your data in a variety of ways. You could search for all referrals who were sent by a certain person, all the prospects who phoned you in July, all clients in a certain zip code, all clients who spent over a certain dollar amount, etc.

Should You Buy a Card Scanner?

If you have a great many cards, you may not want to type them all into your software. There are small, inexpensive scanners made specifically for business cards that capture all the text information on the business card (name, company name address, phone, fax, and e-mail address) and feed it directly into your contact management program. This could save a lot of time if you collect tons of cards, for example if you attend trade shows and plan to follow up by doing a big mailing. But I’ve heard mixed reports about the accuracy of the card scanners. They are often thrown off by graphics, unusual fonts, speckled paper, and so on. It can take time to get the hang of it. Card scanners probably aren’t worth the bother if you only have a small number of business cards.

Internet Information Forums Ruined by Russians

Posted by admin in Social Hub

Do you own an Internet Forum and find Spammers posting garbage and advertisements faster than you can delete them? It seems that the more popular that your Internet Forum is the more it is abused by spammers and Internet Marketers. But why do they do this if you are constantly erasing or deleting their SPAM posts to your Forum?

Well, you see some of these Russian Forum Spammers, charge people to post for them on all these forums; they charge their customers to post in 1000 forums about $35.00 and they have a computer program which mirrors key strokes so once they do it once the computer remembers and they do it every day, sometimes many times per day and many different messages junking up your online Internet Forum with SPAM messages. They lower the price as the number of forums you sign up to SPAM increase. And they simply add your SPAM message to all these forums.

For between 4000-6000 forums they lower the price to $33.00 per thousand and for 7000-9000 forums they lower the price to $31.00 per 1000; 10,000-13,000 forums is $30.00 per thousand and believe it or not they have a $20.00 per 1000 rate for 20,000 forums. So if you own a forum you are probably going to get SPAM and the Federal Trade Commission does not even recognize this as SPAM yet, so by the time they get around to it, your Forum will be ruined by the Russians. Now that is one cold war that I would like to Nuke indeed. Of course I know some disreputable Marketers on the Internet who think this is a very good deal.

How many Forums do they claim to have access too? Well total of Russian forums are 40,000; number of English-speaking forums is 70,000; we must stop these Russians Forum Spammers from Ruining the Internet; Here is one of the criminals email addresses; why not SPAM him? dzumon@altern.org . Consider this in 2006 and let’s shut down these criminals.

What a Leads Exchange Group can do for You

Posted by admin in Social Hub

What is the definition of a leads exchange and how does it differ from other groups?

So what is a leads exchange? A leads exchange comes in several flavors; first the exchange usually has exclusivity restrictions so that you remain loyal to only one group. This way the printer and the chiropractor that belong to this group will only think of you for a particular service or product. They will essentially promote your business as part of the membership requirement: to generate leads for others as well as get leads in exchange. These types of groups are plentiful and can work for you or against you. If you have done your homework and the group is active in the areas that you would like to be known, then this type of group will work well for you. If you work in an unusual business, it may be more difficult for others to find leads for you. This type of group will expect that you have defined your best customer and have given them the tools they need to seek out business in that area.

The best way to work this type of group is to generate many leads for others in the group. Once they know you are out to make the most of this, they will bend over backwards to ensure that you get enough leads so that you will continue to be an outstanding member of the group. They know that if you are dissatisfied, it is likely you will look elsewhere and take your great lead generation ability to another rival group. The more you give, the more you will get in this environment.

Leads exchanges provide many opportunities, but there is also some disadvantages to belonging. If you are focusing on your own business, then generating leads for others is a definite distracter. This can work to your disadvantage if generating leads for others is your only way to get leads from others. If you go about generating your own leads, you may uncover something that can be fulfilled by another member’s business. The important thing to remember is that there is always a cost to joining a group.

Networking to a New Life

Posted by admin in Social Hub

Research shows that talking to strangers — not people in your comfort zone — is the single most powerful key to a creative career and business move. Yet many people resist. Sometimes they don’t understand the concept of networking. At other times, they set impossible goals. Here are some guidelines for network for your second career, home or life.

Create your own supporting CAST

C= Cover Story. When you’re a midlife, mid-career transitioner, you can’t come across like an eager-beaver, bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed newbie. You may not be comfortable calling to say, “I’m thinking of becoming a certified beach blanket analyst. Can we talk?” Decide whether you’re seeking information, clients or both, and plan a positive opening that presents you as a fellow professional, not a beggar.

A = Action. Begin anywhere! Talk to people — even those who seem unrelated to your dream. As you talk, you’ll hear yourself refining your goal and moving to truth. Start with the nicest, friendliest sources you know and ask them for referrals.

S= Slow. It takes awhile to build a network. Begin before you need one, if at all possible. If you’re starting from scratch, don’t rush. Desperation drives away your best resources.

T = Target. Network to those who can help, not necessarily those easiest to find. Sitting at a table with eight potential clients gets you started — but choose a networking event with eight referral sources and you’ll move faster. Talking to ten sales assistants probably won’t help you learn how managers hire sales people.

“No way — not me!”

When you truly resist networking, we have to consider that:you’re not sufficiently excited about the goal to generate momentum.

You’re happily settled in a comfort zone and need an anti-gravity rocket to pull away.

You’d rather be boiled in oil than call and mingle.

You have unique challenges about the way you come across: you’re too much of a maverick or too “different” to be effective

You’re exhausted just thinking about it.

I won’t ask you to become a new person, although I encourage responsible risk-taking and experimenting with new behavioral styles.

It IS true that the greatest rewards will go to those who can work a crowd effectively. My former colleague “Xavier” could give a twenty-minute talk and come away with at least three free-spending clients.

However, you can create an unconventional plan that builds on your strengths and allows you have to connect with strangers. You might take or teach a class, join an organization, promote your website aggressively and more. Your progress may be slower than your friend the networkinag champ — but if you persevere you can reach your own goal without sacrificing your own sense of self.
