Scouting for Girls Say They Nearly Killed Themselves to Make New Album Best it Can Be

Pop band Scouting For Girls have revealed how hard they had to work on the follow up to their successful debut album. The band confirmed that they had to get their act together after their label said that the songs they had previously recorded simply weren’t strong enough for general release. The band admitted that they found working almost 16 hours a day on perfecting the album tough going and often couldn’t tell if they were making something that was genuinely good or if they were going down the wrong path altogether.

Scouting For Girls had a very successful debut album selling lots of copies around the UK and releasing hit singles, She’s So Lovely and Elvis Ain’t Dead. The band are due to release their next single called This Ain’t A Love Song in March of 2010. The album will follow shortly after.
Scouting For Girls haven’t enjoyed the critical acclaim to go along with their commercial success. They have consistently suffered from comics who have mocked them for their boring songs and also for selling their music to appear in adverts. Despite the lack of critical praise they have secured a number of top 10 hits since their inception and their album looks to carry on the success from their debut.

Entertainment Industry Opposes the Pirate Party’s Foray into Politics

Britain has not been very receptive about the decision of the Pirate Party to contest the UK general election. The party is known for its strong support for file sharing of music and opposition for strict copyright norms. It has some political power in Sweden, and has recently been in the news for proposing an amendment in copyright laws to reduce the duration of copyright from 50 years to 5 years.

Industry experts fear that the party will ruin the economy of the music industry in the UK if it comes to power. Rick Falkvinge, the head of the Pirate Party, argued for positive support to file sharing in his speech at the In The City music conference, held in Manchester recently. His ideas were opposed vehemently by the other participants, and one of them went to the extent of saying that he was being manipulative.

However, Yvette Livesey, the organiser of the conference, recognised the need for debate on the issue. In response to a question regarding her decision to invite Rick Falkvinge to the conference, she said that it is about time these issues are openly discussed. She added that if the discussions had been initiated a decade back, there would not have been so many problems and complications as there are now.

However, whether the party will get any support in the UK or not is still not clear, considering the vehement opposition it is facing from the entertainment industry.

Cheryl Cole Single Could Be Biggest of the Year

While “Bad Boys” sold 185,000 copies last week, Simon Cowell predicted Cole’s single will end Burke’s reign and will be number one next week.

“Fight For This Love” is taken from Cole’s debut solo studio album “3 Words.”

Cheryl Cole may have had mixed reviews for her performance on The X Factor last week - but she’s still got at least one loyal fan.

The stunning reality show judge beamed as she left a meeting in London yesterday and was closely followed by a man with an ‘I love Cheryl’ t-shirt.

The Geordie has reason to smile - as her new single, Fight For This Love, is expected to be the new number on Sunday.

If you like rock and you’re interested in playing with more of an upbeat, high paced, louder rithm, then an electrical guitar is a better fit for you. If you want more of a classic vibe, a more mellow organic feel on your playing then you should get a classical guitar.

If you’re a beginner, than I would suggest working your way from a classical guitar. You can find them at a better price and you can play them anywhere, which is something you definetly want to consider.

If, on the other hand, you have more free time on your hands and you want to make some serious noise, then getting an electrical guitar is more fit for you. Keep in mind, that unless you are already good and can keep up with a tune by yourself, it can become irritating really fast when you’re playing nothing but noise for a couple of hours.

In general, what you want is something that strikes the balance between what you want with what you need with your current skillset. Be sure to match up the style of your music, the type and quality of your guitar and the location you will play it in (if electric you will need power supply all the time).
