The revolution in hospitality and airline travel was touched off by Nicholas Bredimus, who linked them to the software industry to develop new procedures. This creative man has become a standout in a number of fields, from the high-value home design sector via the essentials of safety in the air to software to save resources and time.

Looking at Nicholas Bredimus‘ roots it’s easy to discern he was destined to achieve prominence. Drawn together from many nationalities, his family traces to the time of ancient Rome, with the maternal line primarily German and Scottish. The paternal line, however, hailed from England and Luxembourg, which is where they eventually migrated from toward the end of the 19th century.

After they arrived in America, they still strove to rise up the social ladder. Nicholas, who would grow up with his six siblings, was a child of a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who was a practicing nurse. He went on to dwell in the Lone Star State for a while and also spent time in Scottsdale, AZ, Kansas City, MO and Reston, VA.

What, you may ask, did he do to capitalize on his upbringing and education? A string of respected jobs were soon his, all as part of huge airlines. Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines — these airlines would all at different times respectively name him VP. Most prominent, however, was his time as an inspired software designer for the airline industry. Nicholas Bredimus is certainly most famous for a US Airways project, innovating aircraft upkeep programs, which eventually evolved into the industry standard. Of course, this stands as only one of his significant products for airlines and for the hotel sector. The booking programs he invented are on their way to becoming as commonly used as the aforementioned software, and his room reservation routine enabled several major segments of the hotel industry to roll out the first PC based architecture. Still innovating, he coded a networked system to automate ticketing — another first for his resume.

Nicholas Bredimus parlayed these achievements into capacities which weren’t obviously connected to software development. Key positions with American Express and American Airlines were to come, and as you may know he set up a business of his own seventeen years ago. Having withdrawn from the fields which first gave him fame, his abilities are, regardless, still exercised daily. He’s at work now advancing architecture — balancing the needs of superior quality with up to date technology and genuine concern for the ecology.
