Nathaniel Lipman, the Affinion Group chief executive officer and president, is a Bachelor of Arts graduate at the University of California in Berkeley in 1986. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he studied Law at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1989.

Nathaniel Lipman’s business expertise was primarily practiced at the House of Blues Entertainment, Inc where he was appointed senior vice president and general counsel. He was also a senior corporate counsel at The Walt Disney Company. Following those positions, he was hired by consumer brand developer Planet Hollywood International. From 1996 to 1999, he acted as its Corporate Development and Strategic Planning senior vice president.

He then became the Business Development and Strategic Planning’s senior vice president for Cendant’s Alliance Marketing division, right after Planet Hollywood. From March of 2001 to August 2001, Nathaniel Lipman worked as Cendant Membership Services‘ Business Development executive vice president. When he was in Trilegiant, Nathaniel Lipman as well held the same positions.

It was not long before he became Trilegiant Corporation’s president and chief executive officer. Moreover, right after the incorporation of Trilegiant and Affinion, he was chosen as the CEO and president of the new company Affinion Group.
