Third Party Mobile Content Prized by Cell Phone Users
By Anthony Wayne
Atlantic City, NJ - For years, the nation’s largest cellular carrier, Verizon, has operated with a “walled garden” approach to mobile data services, meaning that it would not permit downloads of independent content to its customers. The walled garden, however, may soon fall down.
A recent survey by Handango found that third-party applications had a “strong influence” or “somewhat of an influence” on 69 percent of consumers’ decisions to choose their carriers and phone models. The survey of over 14,000 mobile content users found that the ability to utilize third-party content was a “powerful influencer” in mobile phone decision making. The survey also suggests that users of mobile content are more satisfied and less likely to change brands or carriers.
Up until now, Verizon and Sprint have maintained their networks solely for its own mobile data content. This also applied to the third-party use of premium SMS. Industry analysts, however, are now speculating that Verizon and then Sprint may soon permit the use of premium SMS services on its network for third party content. Apparently, the carriers are starting to realize that by not offering this service, it is akin to possibly losing millions of potential customers.
According to the Cool Ringtones Blog (http://www.coolringtones.blogspot.com), a blog site that reports on the mobile ringtone industry, long time ringtone provider Ringingphone (http://www.ringingphone.com) is now providing ringtones and cellular wallpapers to Verizon customers. It is believed that this is the first instance where an independent ringtone provider has begun selling ringtones and wallpapers to Verizon customers.
Perhaps the walled garden has already crashed down.

On the face of it, the idea of dental crowns may not seem to make much sense. After all, most of the reasons to have dental crowns placed have to do with age-related problems and other issues that aren’t likely to affect most young children - right?
In fact, while cosmetic dental crowns aren’t usually appropriate for young children, there are many cases in which crowns can - and should - be placed. Most of the time, this is due to genetic malformation or other type of congenital issue that has made baby teeth susceptible to premature wear and decay. In addition, many children play sports and therefore risk the same type of injuries as adults.
When younger children require dental crowns before the eruption of their adult teeth, it usually has to due with the back teeth, or molars. Baby molars, or primary molars differ from permanent ones; the shape is different. Because of this factor, a primary molar that has subject to tooth decay or has fractured is better treated using a dental crown rather than a filling.
Children risk serious problems if a baby molar is lost too soon; the tooth can be infected, leading to a painful abscess in addition to other conditions. If infected, bacteria can actually enter the heart of the tooth, or pulp chamber. This is where are the blood vessels and nerves are located; the consequences of a bacterial attack on these vital parts should be apparent.
Although aesthetically-pleasing ceramic dental crowns are available for children, these are not recommended by pediatric dentists - not the least because eventually, the primary molar is going to fall out to make room for the permanent adult molar in any event. When it comes to young children, pediatric dentists recommend dental crowns made from stainless steel rather than ceramic or acrylic ones, which are prone to fracture - and the fact that they are temporary does not justify the extra expense.
The good news here is that unlike dental crowns for adults, those for children can be placed in just a single visit. Once in place, stainless steel dental crowns for children will protect the functionality and health of the baby molar until it is pushed out to make room for its permanent, adult replacement.

Firstly let me start by explaining the difference between a SIM
Free phone and the more traditional Contract or Pre-Pay mobile
phone. SIM Free refers to GSM phones (see below for more on
this) that are sold without a connection or line. SIM Free
phones have never been locked to a particular network. It can be
said that they are ‘unlocked’, but actually they have never been
locked to begin with! This is better as it means that the phones
are in factory condition and are less likely to develop
problems. They can therefore accept any SIM that is associated
with a compatible frequency. A tri-band SIM Free phone will work
on any GSM network in the world, but you must insert a SIM that
works in the area you want to use it. All GSM 900 / GSM 1800
compatible SIM Free phones will work on any UK SIM.
GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications)
The most important aspect of GSM is its standardisation. This
allows a SIM card owner to insert the SIM into any SIM Free GSM
phone (with compatible frequencies) and the phone would work.
This standardisation also applies to anywhere one goes with a
GSM network. This is provided that the correct frequency of the
card / network is available to that handset.
GSM frequencies are:
- GSM 900 (O2, Vodafone and most networks around the world)
- GSM 1800 (Orange, T-Mobile and some European networks)
- GSM 1900 (Used in USA & Canada)
Phones that are sold tied to a network such as Vodafone, O2,
Orange etc. are programmed with all sorts of customisations that
can make changing a network far more cumbersome than with a SIM
Free phone. With the increasing trend in overseas travel, it is
much more cost-effective to buy a SIM card local to the country
you are visiting rather that paying the hefty costs that the UK
networks charge for overseas calls. SIM Free phones offer the
flexibility to do this.
The Future?
SIM Free phones are becoming increasingly popular in the UK and
further afield, as the market is now very competitive, offering
consumers a wide range of choice at very reasonable prices. Of
course a contract is still a very good option, but if you do not
want to be tied to a contract, or maybe have a slightly less
desirable handset given to you by your employer, SIM Free offers
a choice that many consumers haven’t previously considered.
There are some very good online retailers offering exactly what
I’ve mentioned above. I’ve recently been involved with the
launch of the 2g3g.co.uk website, which backed by
extensive research offers a user-friendly interface, backed with
all of the required technical information that the most clued up
of customers would require.

Are your company’s call center services all that they could be? Even centers that were state of the art a decade or so ago might be out of date and inadequate today. As technology expands, so do clients’ expectations regarding communication. Nowadays, a client will normally expect to be able to contact a company representative more or less twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, either by phone, fax or email. Clients expect a quick response and courteous, efficient service regardless of how the communication is carried out. Though the technology to support this level of service is readily available, it can be a challenge for call centers to keep up with. Moreover, the quality and scope of outgoing calls remains important, as global competition for clients is fiercer than ever.
Here are just some of the services that inbound and outbound call centers need to provide to be competitive in today’s buisness world. Agents must be able to take orders, process transactions, respond to requests for services and information, and provide effective help for clients who are having problems with the company’s products. A sort of ‘help desk’ is often necessary, with two or three tiers of agents who can respond to various requests and queries. Regarding the outbound function of the call center, market research, polling and sales calls are conducted on a near-constant basis. Supervisors are needed to monitor the agents, and outcomes of calls are tracked and reported by various means. Usually, this requires the call center to have on-site supervisor stations, as well as up-to-date means of tracking and reporting. These fairly traditional services are only the beginning; nowadays, a call center may also be required to respond to letters, faxes and emails, use computer telophony integration (CTI), and provide service through voice recognition programs for those times when the call center is ‘closed’. However, that really is the point - a modern call center should never really be closed at all. Increasingly, clients may reside in different time zones, and they have the right to expect service at any time. Even within a given time zone, there is an expectation of constant availability. This, along with the proliferation of means of communication and the need to integrate and respond to information from various sources, adds to the modern call center’s tasks.
The need for all of these services puts considerable pressure on the modern call center, not to mention the company itself! For this reason, some small and medium sized companies may find themselves unable to meet all of these demands for service on their own. Some companies may resist outsourcing their call center needs, perhaps feeling that the personal touch would be lost. According to call center service providers, however, they needn’t worry - the modern call center is more than able to provide knowledgable, personal service to clients. It has been proven mathematically that a single large call center is more effective - in terms of cost and service - than multiple small centers. It is easy to understand why this makes sense. The larger the call center, the more able it will be to provide the full range of services needed today. Some technological solutions are expensive to acquire and update, but if their cost can be absorbed by a large call center that services multiple companies, everyone can take advantage of the technology without having to individually acquire all the hardware and software. Moreover, in a large center, training and supervision becomes streamlined and effective. Individual agents gain expertise at a rapid pace; being exposed to a range of clients, their learning curve is huge.
All in all, there are many reasons to consider call center outsourcing, not the leas of which is the demand for an increasingly comprehensive range of call center services. Nowadays, companies really have no choice but to give clients what they want and need. A modern, fully equipped call center can help you do just that, at a reasonable cost and with updates available as often as you need them.

The idea of body jewelry has come a long way since the post modern preference for ear piercing on women. Today’s generation, believe it or not, much like ancient societies throughout history, have gone to the more extreme multiple piercing of various body parts.
If you ask around, you’ll get a lot of different opinions about body piercing, both pro and con. Many people use piercings to help express who they are and what they’re about, completely endorsing this type of adornment and what they endorse. However, you’ll also get people who are completely against body piercings and couldn’t imagine who in their right mind would allow something to be permanently placed through their skin. Although both sides seem to have valid points, the reality is that many of the piercing holes will close up as long as they’re not made too large.
Body piercing, the process of puncturing your skin in various locations and placing a metal jewelry adornment through the hole is a very ancient statement. Even today, many indigenous cultures practice body piercings for both adornment and as a status symbol. Though there has been a recent resurgence in native and tribal body piercings, most modern body piercings are done as purely a form of adornment.
So, should you get a body piercing? The answer varies greatly from person to person, but regardless of who you are there are a few things to consider. Answering these questions honestly and openly will help you realize whether or not body piercing is right for you. Are you particularly attached to a certain image that means something to you, or do you want to get a body piercing merely for the sake of getting a body piercing? Most people who are satisfied with their body piercings years on down the road are happy because they have made this decision not because of peer pressure but is something meaningful to them personally. Can you see yourself with the same body piercing when your seventy-five years old? It’ll probably still be there.
Since a body piercing is permanent, don’t just waltz into the nearest body piercing parlor, look at the flash in the case, and pick out something you like. Though this can be a good technique for getting ideas, there’s no rush to get it done immediately.
One final thought about body piercing is that it can cause some unexpected side effects. Do you think it will matter to your future significant other that you’ve pierced a certain part of your body? Understand that this decision “may” limit your choice of partners at least a little.
Next up on the unintended consequences list is that body piercing can dull the senses of the pierced body part. This may not be important today be understand that the decision is long term — lifetime — and losing sensitivity in private areas can be something that might be missed later in life.
Lastly, there’s the issue of loose stools. That’s right, we’re talking about leakage. A couple of piercings usually are not a problem but if you tend to go all out and get quite a few, the risk of anal leakage goes up with each piercing. The reason is that the metal from the piercings tend to leach into your body and increase the level of certain heavy metals. Nickel is especially prone to this effect and can cause leaking anal problems
Although the problems are something to consider, if the desire to have piercings for the right reasons continues to interest you, then take a deep breath and go for it.
If you have an image that you’re attached to, decide where you want it on your body. Most people who get body piercing ed, even those with large body piercings covering their arms, legs, or back, will avoid getting body piercings on their hands, neck, or face, due to the fact that many employers frown on body piercing and because body piercings which are always visible can make it tougher to get hired at certain jobs. Think of how visible you want your body piercing to be; should it be seen when you’re wearing short sleeves? What about shorts?
Finally, make sure you get body piercing ed at a respectable body piercing parlor. All of the needles should be sterile, as should the general working conditions. Be picky about your artist as well, view his or her portfolio and see a sketch of your design before getting inked, since you should be 100% happy with your body piercing.

So, you’re ready to pop the question? Getting engaged is a once in a life time occasion and you want everything to be perfect. The right atmosphere, romantic setting and of course the perfect ring are essential. The ring has to be special enough to sweep her off the feet, the same way you did while courting her. Nothing will impress her more than buying her a magnificent, dazzling diamond solitaire ring.
Engagement rings account for almost thirty percent of diamond jewelry sales. Out of these, the most popular is the classic solitaire ring. A solitaire diamond ring is a ring having a single diamond rather than a cluster of diamonds or side stones. Solitaire rings showcase the diamond’s beauty. The band of a solitaire ring is generally made of platinum, a shining white metal that compliments the stone perfectly. The setting, which holds the stone securely, comes in a four prong and six-prong variety. The setting with four prongs shows off the diamond, while the six prong hold it more securely.
Solitaire diamond rings come in all sizes and shapes. From the regular round rock to the solid square, and rectangles, solitaire diamond rings can look as unique as your fiancée. It is sometimes better to purchase your diamond separately from the band and setting. This small step will ensure your purchasing good quality solitaire for your engagement ring.
Buying a diamond solitaire ring for your girlfriend is an expensive affair. If you are planning to surprise her, make sure the rock is something which she will cherish. Casually, ask her preference in jewelry, and talk to her friends. While purchasing your ring from the jeweler, ask him to provide a purity certificate and remember to discuss the exchange policy of the showroom. A classic solitaire diamond ring will definitely light up her face and your life.
Diamond Engagement Rings provides detailed information on Diamond Engagement Rings, Platinum Diamond Engagement Rings, Diamond Solitaire Engagement Rings, Antique Diamond Engagement Rings and more. Diamond Engagement Rings is affiliated with Diamond Wedding Rings.

You don’t have to be an alcoholic to have an alcohol abuse problem. If you drink to much you could be developing other physical problems. Occasional social drinking is not a problem. The problem starts when you do to much of it. To much of anything is not good and when it comes to alcohol that is doubly true. I have found that at any social function I can limit myself to one or two drinks or just stick with soft drinks. I see to many friends that seem to think social drinking me drinking till they pass out. I set the example that this doesn’t need to be th case.
When you realize that you have alcohol abuse problem you need to deal with it quickly and decisively. Go our less and when you go to social functions drink soft drinks or coffee or even hot chocolate. Your friends will understand if you just tell them you are cutting back on your drinking and won’t make fun of you. Those that might are the kind of friends you don’t really need anyway. You are always better off if you keep solid control of your drinking. It is often a lot easier that you think. Just say not when offered a drink more often than you say yes. So be like me and enjoy living life with or without drinking.

When the first introduction of the “Rap” style hit the music industry, few would have predicted that the impact of “Hip-Hop” culture would go mainstream. But it definitely has done exactly that, as seen by the increasing number of celebrities showing off their “Bling-Bling”, the standard term for hip hop jewelry. The upsurge in popularity of this particular style of jewelry, owes its claim to fame to the recording artists whose reputation was built on sporting expensive, flashy rings, pendants and earrings. In fact, this term has become so widely used, that the Oxford Dictionary has included it, along with “jiggy” and “phat”. Credits for this term go the Hip-Hop artist B.G, who recorded a 1999 hit song that brought “Bling-Bling” as a popular catchphrase into the mainstream.
There is no doubt about the broad appeal of the hip-hop jewelry style, it plays well on our human desire to be seen and by extension, when you have “bling-bling” it also refers to obvious and appealing wealth. While hip-hop fashion, the distinctive style of dress originating from urban culture, is only one element of this lifestyle, the attention given to the jewelry of this movement has far outpaced that of the clothes.
But truth be told, the wearing of large, extravagant jewelry was popular with artists like Elvis Presley and Tom Jones, a long time before hip-hop became the current cultural phenomenon, but it has completely altered the jewelry market of today. Because fans want to emulate their favorite celebrities and jewelry has always been at the top of the list when it comes to making a big impression. In today’s age of instant information, the hip-hop jewelry scene changes as fast as the record chart hits and the reputation of many celebrities can be boosted or deflated by who is wearing the most fashionable “Bling-Bling”.
There is an abundance of designs to choose from when it comes to hip-hop jewelry, all made with one point in mind; to catch the eye and attract attention. “Bling-Bling” can be seen on celebrities when they appear in music videos, on the catwalk or on the red carpet. From the late-1990s, hip-hop artists began wearing platinum jewelry, adding more than a little flash to their marketing material. After platinum replaced gold as the most popular precious metal in hip-hop fashion, fans and artists began to compete to see who could wear the most outrageous “bling-bling” of platinum often with a dazzling display of diamonds. Hip-Hop performers began to take their bragging rights directly from who was wearing the most platinum jewelry.
Now with an ever growing community on the internet, the mainstream acceptance of hip-hop jewelry is confirmed. There are hip-hop jewelry web sites offering completely ‘iced-out’ bling-bling; rings, bracelets or watches, encrusted to the hilt with real or faux diamonds. And the latest money daze of hip-hop jewelry is the so-called ’spinner’ watches and rings. The influence of hip-hop has even extended to the world of dentistry; platinum fronts are in demand, some going as far as to replace their own teeth with an entire mouthful of permanent platinum teeth. Others who have opted for a little more modest display have their dentists create platinum grills-removable metal jeweled teeth coverings.

Necklaces are always very popular and fashionable pieces of jewelry. It doesn’t matter which generation you are in, the fact remains that necklaces always find a place amongst women’s fashion accessories. Among these necklaces will generally be pearls.
What comes to mind when we think pearl necklaces? To me, it has predominately been strings of white pearls or occasionally a string of pink pearls. Pearls though, come in a variety of shades - some of them being white, pink, black, silver, cream, gold, blue and dark green. The list of colors seem endless.
What kind of pearl necklaces are there? There are two types that come to mind. Firstly, you can have a necklace with one or more strings of pearls, white or colored. But have you stopped to think what beauty you can find in a different kind of pearl necklace, a necklace that will make it a unique pearl necklace?
Let’s take a look at what makes a pearl necklace unique and different. Imagine yourself wearing a beautiful necklace made from a combination of gemstones and pearls. Gemstones come in a wide array of choices - types of stones, colors and shapes. Team gemstones together with pearls into a necklace and the variety is immense. There is always a unique pearl necklace to suit your personal taste and the outfit you want to wear.
Unique pearl necklaces have the added advantage of being useful to team together with many different colors and styles of outfits and can be used also for either a formal or casual look. This makes them a very versatile piece of jewelry because you don’t have to keep your pearls just for a special occasion but makes them very practical for casual wear as well.
Let’s take a look at a few examples. Imagine natural shaped turquoise alternated with white pearls and fine beads. Another combination would be a blend of stones like baroque pearl, aquamarine, amethyst and rose quartz, giving a beautiful blend of colors in the cool shades. Black baroque pearl with India agate is a good choice to serve as an all round “go with anything” necklace.
When choosing pearls, keep in mind your skin coloring as well as the outfits you have to wear. By choosing your necklace colors like this, you can enhance your beauty and also the appearance of your outfit when you wear a unique pearl necklace as part of your accessories.
